Our farm
Grown in Florida. For Florida.
We're a small family seed farm in Central Florida, growing open-pollinated native and heirloom varieties that are actually adapted to our heat, humidity, and unpredictable seasons.
Why Florida seeds matter
Most seeds sold in the US are grown in California, Oregon, or overseas — in cool, dry climates nothing like Florida's. When you plant them here, you're fighting the climate from day one.
We started Florida Native Seeds because we were tired of watching "proven" varieties fail in our own backyard. So we started saving seeds from the plants that actually thrived — the ones that laughed at 95-degree summers, shrugged off afternoon thunderstorms, and kept producing when everything else gave up.
Every seed we sell has been grown, selected, and saved right here in Central Florida. That means when you plant them, they're already home.
What we stand for
Climate-adapted
Every variety we grow is selected for Florida's specific conditions — heat, humidity, sandy soils, and our unique growing seasons.
Open-pollinated
All our seeds are open-pollinated and non-GMO. Save seeds from your best plants and grow them again next year.
Grown here
We grow everything ourselves on our small farm in Central Florida. No middlemen, no mystery origins.
Small batch
We grow in small quantities to maintain quality and freshness. When a variety sells out, it's gone until next season.
Our growing philosophy
We don't use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. We rely on companion planting, beneficial insects, and the natural resilience of varieties that have been growing in Florida for generations. Our goal isn't just to sell seeds — it's to help more people grow food and native plants successfully in Florida's challenging climate.
The best seed for your garden is the one that was grown in a climate just like yours.
